Taking her text from Joshua 6:1-5, 15-20 and Psalms 150, Minister Cherry told us, "It's easy to praise him when everything is going fine--money in the bank, food on the table and the mortgage is paid. Can you praise him with through the rough times?"

We're talking about praise, and praise is the theme for this year, but praise should always be the theme for the saints of God. Praise is a word. It 's verb. It's a verb of action. It is a verb that expresses. It's a word that expresses, and praise deals with worship, and it deals with faith and praise deals with love.

In the beginning of the chapter, the writer begins to talk about the greatness of the LORD and honor of the LORD and his majesty. Through the trials and tribulations, you can see the faithfulness of God to his people. We're talking about praise.

As God passed his word down through the men of God. The revelation of God comes from the Holy Ghost. They sat down and wrote the scriptures and declared the excellency and majesty of God through the Holy Ghost and the spirit of God that was upon them.

As we look into the scriptures and the writer is talking about the greatness of God. He says that the heavens and creation declare the wisdom of God. Everything that God created was set in order. He set the firmaments and caused the waters to come together and be congealed. He formed the seas and set the stars and the moon. From the dust of the ground, he formed man, and gave him bone and gave him tissue and put blood in his body and gave him vital organs, with every organ having its particular function. That is the God that we serve. That great God told you and I, that we were chosen in him before the foundation of the world.

We're talking about praising the LORD today. We serve the only true God, the God that called us out of darkness into this marvelous light. The Bible tells me to enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise!
